Fall is Here

Last sunday afternoon my husband and I joined some friends (and a certain adorable nephew of mine) at the pumpkin patch for a day of fall festivities. It was such a wonderful afternoon with the most picturesque fall breeze blowing through the ranch. We got to walk through a sunflower field, pick out pumpkins, sift through really unique and colorful squash, and of course watch baby Owen who felt hay for the very first time. It’s been a while since I’ve picked up my camera to shoot just for fun and honestly I fell in love with photography all over again. From here on out I am going to make it a point to carry my camera with me more often so I can document the fun adventures my husband and I go one. Photos are such irreplaceable things- they freeze moments in time that you can’t ever really get back again. Years from now I’ll be so thankful that I decided to carry my camera around more often- when Jake and I eventually have kids and they’re teenagers they’ll be able to look back and see photos of Mom and Dad when we were so much younger. When Jake and I are old and grey we will be able to look back on these photos and remember all the adventures we went on as newly weds. You can’t ever really get those moments back. So look forward to seeing some more personal work up here in the future. (PS. Special thanks to my sister for capturing that wonderful photo of Jake and I midway through this post. She’s such a great photographer and is learning a ton :) )
